Sparkling Symmetry will tell you about

New Technique: Herringbone Stitch
Beginning with the Strappy Strip, we have been developing designs and patterns using one of our favorite classic techniques, Herringbone Stitch. We have two new patterns for you, with more designs on the way!
Hour Glassy Bead
This hour-glass shaped bead has Herringbone scallops, reminding us of a 50's Ice Cream Parlor.
Toggle Clasp and Cable
The technique for making this toggle clasp with its embedded crystals also allows you to make a crystal studded herringbone cable.
New Technique: Sparkle Eye
beAd Infinitum welcomes Cindy Holsclaw, whom many of you know as beadorigami. Cindy designs wonderfully symmetric beadeded beads using an original technique, which she calls Sparkle Eye. The two patterns Cindy created for you have the beAd Infinitum stamp of approval for her elegant designs and instructions that are easy to understand. Cindy's illustrations are as pretty as they are readable.
Circle Starburst
The design for this beautifully symmetric beaded bead works well with lentils or Swarovski crystal pendants. Follow the links to Cindy's Gallery to see examples, including some with larger and oval shaped lentils.
Balloon Box: Coming soon
The next pattern Cindy is preparing for us is for the Balloon Box Beaded Bead. This bead's overlay looks like it is floating above the core beads. We can't wait for the pattern! Cindy's Gallery holds many examples of jewelry made from this design as well.
New Kits
Lotus Bead
The Lotus Bead now comes in shades of sky blue, in the beautiful Blue Isis color scheme.
Octahedral Cluster
Florence's Metallic Octahedral Necklace inspired us to make the new Metallic Green Octahedral Cluster Kits.
Diamond Net
Green and turquoise like the sea in the tropics, the Aqua and Silver Diamond Net bead kit makes a beautiful first beaded bead project. Do you have a friend interested in jumping on the bead wagon?
Rivoli Sunflower
The Rivoli Sunflower now comes in the sultry Blue Steam color scheme.

About us
When a Mathematician Weaves Beads
Gwen took a trip to Cheyanne, Wyoming for her first one-woman show of her artwork. She gave presentations about how she uses mathematics in her artwork, and enjoyed a reception at the gallery. The link above shows a flier announcing the show. Check out the beaded beads on the flier!
Math, desert, beads mix in artist's reception, by Cody Bailey, March 2010.

JeweleryLessons.com interview
Golly, it's been a long time since we've sent a newsletter! Last year, Eni Oken's Jewelery Lessons site hosted an event called, "Interview your Favorite Artist," and we were delighted when Eni asked us to participate. Members of Jewelery Lessons posted questions. We wrote about our collaboration and experiences getting started working with beads. Eni put the results into a nice article for us.
Bat Country in the news
Gwen and Paul took Bat Country to Burning Man again this summer. See pictures and read about this giant beaded bead on the Bat Country website. Here are some articles about their sculpture.
